Overlord II is the sequel to the hit warped fantasy action adventure that had players being delightfully despotic. In Overlord II, a new Overlord and a more powerful army of Minions take on an entire empire in a truly epic adventure, inspired by the rise of the Roman Empire. As the Glorious Empire conquers kingdoms and destroys any sign of magic it finds, it's time to go Minion Maximus and send in the horde. The Minions return smarter, deadlier (and funnier) and are ready to fight in large scale battles that will see their wild pack mentality squaring up to the organized legions of the Glorious Empire. As ever, they'll do anything and everything the Overlord commands of them, especially now that they can run ravage and wreck buildings and scenery. They've also learned how to ride: In Overlord II Minions will be able to mount up and ride wolves and other magical creatures around the landscape and take them into battle, making our band of merry fighters faster and fiercer than ever before.
It really is quite a quirky little game. If you liked Gremlins, you'll love the goofy little voice overs. The game play is smooth and pretty easy to get used to. After a while it gets a little repetitive though. Definately worth the rental though.
This game is absolutely worth picking up for its great, quirky sense of humour as well as its gameplay. It requires a little more strategy and has added some some new characters. On the downside it is a little harder and the variety of enemies isn't quite as great but it really is a must play despite this!
This is a fun little game that stays true to the original. Amusing dialog, and interesting gameplay. It has a few bugs, but nothing glaring. If you enjoyed the first one, or Pikmin you will like this one too.
This game is pretty fun, but has some contrived mechanics (ordering people around is kind of weird, and they don't always do what you tell them to). Also the framerate is kind of horrible. Rent if you're looking for some cheap fun... for a couple of hours.
