Welcome to Vegas. New Vegas. It's the kind of town where you dig your own grave prior to being shot in the head and left for dead…and that's before things really get ugly. It's a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis. It's a place where the right kind of person with the right kind of weaponry can really make a name for themselves, and make more than an enemy or two along the way. As you battle your way across the heat-blasted Mojave Wasteland, the colossal Hoover Dam, and the neon drenched Vegas Strip, you'll be introduced to a colorful cast of characters, power-hungry factions, special weapons, mutated creatures and much more. Choose sides in the upcoming war or declare “winner takes all” and crown yourself the King of New Vegas in this follow-up to the 2008 videogame of the year, Fallout 3. Enjoy your stay.
Fallout New Vegas, a RPG shooter, delivers a fun, immersive and interesting experience. The combat itself hasnt change but more the enemies are varied and much tougher, the different weapons have different uses as well as ammo types, and more useful perks. There are a ton of glitches unfortunately but they dont hamper the gameplay too bad. Hardcore mode changes the game completely and truly makes you feel like a survivor. A must play for all.
Fallout new Vegas feels a lot like fallout 3 and there isn't anything new. In fact, the story and quests tend to be pretty boring and the entire game feels like a big quest grind. Even worse are the game ending bugs. I couldn't finish the game because of them. Overall, it is more of the same but with bugs.
I loved this game. I never played the other fallout games, but I'm going to now. Found my self replaying it multiple times each time trying different tactics, speech options and stat builds. Spent a ridicules amount of time on it and would play it again.
This is the most frustrating game ever! It was extremely enjoyable until I got to Vault 34 when all my saved files saved as corrupted. 48 hours down the toilet. I'd have to start all over.
Good game but not much of a story, tons of things to do just like fallout 3 and honestly not many changes from fallout 3 made me bored at some points. Fun game but Fallout 3 was much better in my opinion.
I had heard nothing but amazing feedback about the entire series and decided to play New Vegas and I have to say, the hype was completely unwarranted. Graphics are terrible and the response time on firing your weapons was brutal. I'd literally pull the trigger then have to wait almost 2 seconds before my gun would fire. I played the game all of 10 minutes before I had to stop. If you aren't going to pay for graphics, at least make the gameplay addictive and fun ala Borderlands.
After reading and hearing a lot of praise from people about the Fallout series I decided to give this one a shot. I played it for 5 mins and thought I was playing something from 2002.
The walking or should i say floating is terrible, using the weapons is very poor as well. I'm sure it has a great story line but I want a little better experience controlling my character.
I love New Vegas for all the same reasons that I love Fallout 3, and happily, they have refined the gameplay here to be even more satisfying. The environment of New Vegas and the Mojave Wasteland is breathtaking, and the story, once again, is a masterpiece. This is the kind of game you want to play over and over and over again.
