In the midst of an elaborate con to settle a twenty-year old score, fortune hunter Nathan Drake stumbles into a centuries-old conspiracy that puts him back on the trail of his infamous ancestor, renowned explorer and privateer Sir Francis Drake.
But his search for a lost 16th-century treasure leads him to an even greater discovery - an ancient secret that ensnares him in a web of deceit, pitting him against a shadowy clandestine organization and the occult treachery of its cunning and ruthless leader.
Aided by his partner and mentor Victor Sullivan, Drake embarks on a daring trek across Europe and into the Middle East, tracing the footsteps of the famed Lawrence of Arabia as they follow a centuries-old trail of clues leading to a fabled lost city buried for millennia in the heart of Arabia's Rub' al-Khali desert - a legend Lawrence christened “the Atlantis of the Sands.”
But the vast and pitiless wasteland of the Empty Quarter conceals a terrible mystery, and before the end of their journey, the race to unearth the wealth of the lost city descends into a desperate bid for survival, an ordeal that will push Drake to the limits of his endurance and force him to confront his deepest fears.
Don't get me wrong this is a great game. Whoever there are parts of it that fall very short. First the story and feel is amazing, good balance between game play and cut scenes. Where this game drops the ball as did the previous 2 is the gun play. Hard to shoot straight, hard to tell when you get a head shot and it takes far to much damage to kill a basic enemy. This is a must play, but be warned you might want to let out a occasionally scream of frustration.
While I didn't enjoy it personally as much as uncharted 2, it's an amazing game on it's own merrits. It's just unfortunate that because of the success of it's prequels it's judged harsher. The multiplayer is fun and addictive. The single player campaign is a huge epic adventure, and not to mention Naughty dog really made this a beautiful game. If you have the setup this will be mindbogglingly pretty. My particular wow moment was during a desert level. Overall a must play for any adventurer.
I'm not the only one to give this masterpiece a perfect score! And that is for good reason. This game was by far the most jaw-dropping experiece i had ever played in my life. The story, the gameplay, and graphics are all perfect because of the insane situations that the develpers put you in from burning chateau's too ecsaping a sinking cruise ship. This is by far the best experience you could ever have on the PS3!!! This is a 10 out of 10.
Loved UC,Uc2 and now Uc3. The setpieces are amazing, the story is still intriguing and you're left wanting more.
The MP is very solid as well, if you liked uc2's mp you'll like this one.
Excellent game from a technical point of view. Superb graphic, cinematography, sound, voice acting. That the best PS3 as to offer. Story is way too short, even on the hardest setting, it's still very easy. No multiplayer without paying a extra 10$. Good rent
very nice game, feels more like a movie then a game tho.
lots of action , pretty much the best graphics out there, nice replay value, nice multiplayer!
Uncharted 3 continues the adventures of Drake as he travels the world and uncovers mysterious secrets that were once undiscovered. An immersive story, character development, voice acting, visuals, and gameplay present a cinematic experience that should not be missed. Some repetitive melee sequences and a short-lived time spent in Ubar are the only complaints with Uncharted 3. Online gameplay is a welcoming and enjoyable addition.
I don't understand the hype about this game. Its a corridor style game on rails where your lead through a set path. The fighting is not at all epic, and feels clumsy and the character feels weak. The control is sloppy and unresponsive and often you die because of it. Feels a lot like this game coasts on the success of its previous titles and has not kept up with the times.
