Marking the next-gen console debut of Ubisoft's critically acclaimed series, Prince of Persia - The Forgotten Sands is the next chapter in the fan-favorite Sands of Time universe. Visiting his brother's kingdom following his adventure in Azad, the Prince finds the royal palace under siege from a mighty army bent on its destruction. His brother Malik decides to use the ancient power of the Sand in a desperate gamble to save the kingdom from total annihilation. To save the kingdom, the Prince must embark on an epic adventure in which he will learn to bear the mantle of true leadership, and that great power often comes with a great cost. Classic Gameplay Reinvented: From huge-scale multi-enemy combat to dizzying feats of acrobatic prowess in gigantic environments enhanced by the Prince's ability to control nature and time, The Forgotten Sands will push the Prince's prodigious abilities to a not-yet-seen level. A Blockbuster Experience: With all-out war at the gates of the kingdom, the Prince's abilities will be challenged like never before through the course of epic wow moments, be it by scaling a castle tower collapsing under bombardment or combating foes hundreds of feet tall. Mastery Over Nature: Wielding powers of nature and time, the Prince will have unparalleled mastery over his environment and his enemies. The Prince will discover that harnessing the forces of nature itself will prove to be a devastating companion to his ability to rewind time. Better Than Ever: Powered by the Anvil Engine used for Assassin's Creed 2, The Forgotten Sands promises to bring a Prince of Persia experience like never before seen. Battle hordes of enemies at once, explore life-like settings, and experience a more powerful Prince.

  Back to the Original 8/10

Forgotten sands is a revisit to the original trilogy that so many of us liked, but the story, while interesting, is not on the same level as the original. There are minor issues with things not being perfectly smooth, fighting repetitive enemies, boring boss BUT the real gem is the environmental puzzles. They make it worth while to play the game and you can finish within 7 hours. Highly recommend for fans as a rental.
The real Prince is back 8/10

Prince of Persia returns to its roots with this latest adventure that goes back to the linear environments, fluid jumping/maneuvering and large battles. The combat pitches you against hordes of less than challenging enemies with a not so large repertoire of moves but is still fun and somewhat satisfying. While the combat and story feels a little rushed (repeated boss fights, unsatisfying ending), navigating the puzzles and environments is top notch and very fun. A must rent.
Better than the last one that's for sure 8/10

I was sceptical about getting this one after not really liking the last, so stayed away from it for a bit. Finally figured I'd try it out, turned out to be an awesome game. The jumping and general flow of movements in the game seem the most noticeable but it's clear the series returned to its roots and it was a well needed reboot. Powers are also welcome addition, and the speed at which you can scale the scenery is perfect. Must rent for everyone.

Wow totally enjoyed this game much more than the first. I called the first game the run jump fall game.

Was kind of surprised when I played this for the first time. Great graphics, some challenging puzzles, and decent playtime.
  Ok 7/10

This prince of persia is still not as good as the original 2 on ps2. It gets close but still lacks the old fighting mechanics we all loved and puzzles were a breeze in this one. You can still rewind time but you do dumb things like freeze a water spout to make it a beam u can flip off of, or teleport-fly through aerial monsters to get across a canyon. Seemed really lame.
  Wonderful Time Waster 8/10

This game feels more like Sands of Time than the last Prince of Persia game, and that is probably the reason I love it so much. The game is short, the combat a bit limited, and the visuals weak. But, I can set aside those issues and just love the game for being an entertaining time spender. I absolutely loved playing this game, but I don't think it holds much replay value. If you are a trophy lover, you will be pleased with the easy platinum you can get from this game. A delicious addition.
  Same old, same old. 7/10

Well...not entirely. It's a throwback to the style of the PS2 trilogy. If you've played those, this will just feel like more of the same, with a few new powers. The fighting isn't that hard and the platforming elements are really straightforward, but done really smoothly. I was left a bit bored by it in the end, but it's worth a rental. If you never played the original trilogy it's definitely worth your while.
