From BioWare, the makers of Mass Effect, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Baldur's Gate comes Dragon Age: Origins. An epic tale of violence, lust, and betrayal, Dragon Age: Origins is a single player role-playing game (RPG) set in a fantasy game environment, and featuring three playable character classes, accessible in the form of three races. In addition, the game features extreme character customization, a new game engine, party-based gameplay utilizing non-player characters and a built-in personal history system for each hero character rooted in a variety of possible origin stories.
I'm an rpg buff, and for me Dragon Age is the first game from this generation that stands in the pantehon of all time greats. It really is the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate II. The storyline is fantastic and engaging with some really interesting choices for the player. Characters are memorable with excellent dialogue. Combat is strategic and challenging and offers some real innovation through the use of the tactics system. Cannot recommend this highly enough
If you are looking for a game that will take you on an epic journey throughout an enormous land filled with mystical beasts and tons of missions to complete, then this is your game.
I have already put more than 40 hours into this title and I'm not even close to finishing it. The sheer size of this game is amazing. You have many choices to make throughout the game, and it all effects the story along the way. Definitely one of the best games of the last few years and no ps3 owner should miss it!
Never got the chance to finish this game, but over my first 15 hours, I thought the game was great! Solid storyline with many different roads to take, well over 100 hours of gameplay and exploration in this one. Plus there is a couple expansion packs out to add even more play time. Completely customizable characters, tons of different items and weapons, and tons of exploration and quests. Solid Game 9/10
Amazing story line, lots of blood shed and lots of character options. For this game you can play 20 times and it will still feel like your playing for the first time.
Fun combat and I would have rated this higher if the conversations weren't so morbidly boring at times. Needs a less linear map or open world gaming. Homosexual elven love possibilites makes this a truely unique game. "Not that there's anything wrong with that." (Seinfeld)
