I' had been waiting for follow up game ever since I finished Arkham Asylum, over a year ago. So, when it was released on Oct 18, I rushed to get it.
A.C is amazing, normally follow up games are meh, compared to its predecessor, but with this one it was worth it to buy it. There is so much extra-curricular stuff to get that it'll take you awhile to get everything for trophies (I like my trophies).
If your like me and like to get absolutely everything, I would recommend buying the strat. guide
As the title says this is another example of why Rocksteady is a great game maker. Amazing attention to detail, superb voice acting (how the man that played clean cut hero Luke Skywalker so well can pull off one of the best portrayals of The Joker is irony at it's best lol). I absolutely love all the crime fighting gadgets and gizmos too, and combat is very well done as well. Had a really hard time putting it down.
This is a must play, there's no other way to put it. While The main story arc isn't particularly long (I finished the main story and about 50% of the sidequests in 7 hours)it does encourage a second playthrough in their new game+. But I think this is one of those games that most people would be willing to play on a boring weekend so they could have a great adventure and not have to feel like they have to come back to it right away.
Sequels almost never as good as the original saying that everything they did right in the last one they did better in this one.Defiantly worth more then just renting.
This game is a very important reason to get an active 3D tv. The joker especially stands out in a depth during the grand finalie. If you have not played this game in 3D, than you haven't truly played it.
The game itself is a fantastic mix of brawler, sandbox, and puzzle game. Plenty of replay value with cat woman (10.00$). And plenty of sub quests to keep your character leveling.
The ending will have you sitting on your seat, unable to move. Long after the credits roll.
I was expecting an awesome game due to the legacy that they had created in the other two games. This game, while not being terrible, showed little that set it appart from the croud and felt more like the spiderman series that that of Batman. The story was weak and the missions were mostly pointless and just ate up my weekend. Play another game unless this is all that is left.
