Sega's Madworld is an inventive third-person action game exclusively for Wii. Produced by Atsushi Inaba, MADWORLD has a unique black and white style depicting an incredibly sharp backdrop that straddles graphic novels and 3D worlds. As players battle opponents, they must master the use of various weapons and items found within their environment, such as chainsaws and street signs, while entertaining sports commentary adds to the third-person gameplay. With its irreverent humor and over-the-top violence, MADWORLD will deliver a unique core gaming experience currently missing on the Wii system.
Style is cool, and gameplay is good for a short amount of time. I hoped to get through it quickly since I've heard of the game's length, but I just couldn't do it. If mindless repetitive violence is your thing, then definitely check it out. I'll be holding out hope for Bayonetta.
I popped this game in and was impressed by the graphics. It has a real Sin City look to it. I played it for about 1.5 hours and then got bored. Very repetitive with the gameplay and the running commentary from the voice overs. Sent it back without completing the game.
Upon embarking on this killing fest, the creative use of motion with the Remote and Nunchuk makes the experience incredibly gratifying on a console like the Wii. The black-and-white animations, smothered with splatters of red blood, cleverly minimize feelings of nausea from the sight of countless sadistic acts. Although there are serious camera issues, the controls allow a diverse range of swings and finishers, which add a sense of excitement to both enemy and boss encounters.
most violent video game i have ever played
butt boring all u do is trow bad guys into stuff like spikes and trash cans ect unless your a really sick individual and like to see how many ways u turn someone into hamburger this is prob not the game for u oh and did i mention theres no run button seriously a scroller beat em up with no run button and this is supose to be a new generation game shame shame
Disgusting, repugnant, foul, obscene and an absolutely amazing work of art. Great comic book feel to the whole experience and one of the best soundtracks this side of Jet Grind Radio. One of the more creative uses of the Wiimote to date (I actually got a work out playing this) and some truly truly hilarious voice over work by the announcers even if they do become repetitive. Anyone guess who the announcers are? Anyone with a 360 and a little game called GOW should catch on. Fantastic!
