This game is great for Burnout Series fans and the older versions of NFS! Great graphics on track and cars. Having different tracks to unlock is well worth it.
  Just awful. 4/10

I was very disappointed with this title. It feels like Burnout, but badly executed. The controls were sloppy and unpolished, the music and sound standard at best and the gameplay merely average. The worst part, by far, is the attempt to make the game "social". You spend more time watching cutscenes than playing the game. For a game called "Need for Speed", it moves at a snail's pace. To be avoided.
  Too 'Restricting' 5/10

Definitely disappointed in this NFS as I'm an avid fan of the series as a whole. It seems the creators combined Pro Street with Most Wanted and failed to deliver in doing so. I'm a huge fan of being able to drive around freely while finding missions. In this, you just go to a checklist and do them. The addition of being a cop was nice and would be a FANTASTIC add if the game was more like Most Wanted and you could free roam to missions or stumble upon illegal races.
  Great game!. Few downsides. 8/10

Pros -lots of cars/missions -single-player is a lot of fun -single-player last and is not easy to master -fairly good game engine Cons -is renting the game, you do not get a multi-player code, you get a 48-hour trial and must buy your online "pass" for 800MS Points and equal value for PS3, the multi-player code is included if bought new from a store -realism could be turned up
A throw away racing title 7/10

This is a mix between Need for Speed and Burnout, except…. The open world is worthless as there is nothing to do in it. If you don't have friends that play the scoring system is worthless. You unlock a new car every event, so you never appreciate the car that you have. The crashes aren't as cool as burnout, and the damn cop car alarms drive you crazy after a while.
Best racing game of 2010 9/10

It was developed by the Burnout team so you can expect great graphics, lots of crashes and a really fun arcade racer. The Autolog feature lets you compete and challenge friends even if you're not online at the same time. It's got 2 careers, Cops and Racing and both are worth playing and equally fun. No matter if you're looking for a single player or multi player experience, Hot Pursuit is without a doubt worth trying.
WTF happened to the NFS series? 2/10

This game is a big steaming pile of crap. I waited so long for this and had such high hopes for this only to be really let down. From the dumb "previews" before events to the retarded and repetitive unskippable cut scenes every time you unlock a new level or car. Also, the asininely boring and mind numbing repetition of car preview races with no apparent goal, except to beat the clock, whilst constantly having to lay on the nitrous for any hope of beating the time limits broke me. AVOID THIS!
not bad if your into that genre 6/10

I did like the graphics, game pace and game play. Fans of the old NFS series games and burnout lovers would appreciate it the most. Online was mostly fun but there is a increasing number of players who wish not to race properly reducing my online enjoyment.
