While it was great to see the Duke back in action doing what he does best, it just wasn't enough to make this title worthwhile. The graphics were PS2 quality at times, and the gameplay's appeal was short-lived. I don't know which approach would have best worked revitalizing this classic franchise--but this wasn't it. |

Duke Nukem, sex, guns, gore... Oh and awesome one-liners! Great game for kicks, gameplay is par, nothing exceptional. Load screens are stupid long. Some good challenging parts for gamers looking for that.
Overall, worth a run-thru, just to see the boobies and ridiculousness of Duke Nukem and his egotistical world ;) |

I was expecting a terrible game when I rented it, but turns out it is much better than critics gave it credit for!
PROS:
- Fun-to-use weapons further into the game
- Epic boss battles
- Some pretty funny situational gags
- Interactive stuff to increase "ego" is fun
- Surprisingly varied gameplay
CONS:
- Voice acting can get annoying
- Some long and boring sections that could've been WAY shorter
- You can only carry 2 guns at a time (c'mon, Duke!) |
