Make no mistake. This game is difficult. A total throwback to the Ghost and Goblins fare of the past. You kill things and collect souls. The souls are your experience points and currency to level up and buy new armor. You collect loot, level up, and progress through the story, but if you die, you drop all your souls. If you get back and touch your blood-stain, you get your souls back, but if you don't... well you don't get those souls back. Eek. Good game. Hard game. Not for everyone. |

This game is exactly what I would expect to be treated to when I hear the term action-RPG. Gameplay is ever changing and each encounter can be different based on as little as which weapon you are equiped with. The game doesn't disappoint in terms of difficulty and in fact may be the reason some people do not like it. For someone that enjoys a challenge and the sense of accomplishment that goes with beating that challenge, this is a must play! 10/10 |

L'ambiance est très bonne mais il faut vraiment avoir le temps de jouer a un jeux comme celui-ci. Sinon tu te rends nulpart. |

When I first started playing this game, I enjoyed it. It looked good, played decent. Then, about 45 minutes into the first level, I died from one hit, and had to restart the level. Now, thats not what I call fun, but some do. To each his own, right? Still, give it a try, maybe its your cup of tea. |

Such potential wasted. Great graphics, engaging combat system and a variety of customization only to be spoiled simply by the difficulty level. This game was out right too hard and the lack of save points didn't help either. I tried to push myself through the game; though the more I played the more I felt the utter frustration set in. I only played about 5 hours so my opinion is based on 1st impressions. That being said I felt Demon Souls was a good game...that could simply have been great. |

Do you play most games on very hard mode like I do? Does it matter to you that you that your decisions all carry weight and have consequences? Some say its too hard, I say its just what I've been waiting for and if you answered yes to the questions above chances are its what you have been needing too, be prepared and be entertained with the most unforgiving but rewarding experience this console generation. |

Je n'ai pas joué très longtemps, parce que j'allais finir par tout casser chez moi.. Le jeux est excellent et le j'aime que la difficulté soit très élevé. Par contre je déteste avoir à recommencer tout le niveau chaque fois que je meure. |

The critics seems to have missed the main feature of this game : The online mode. Do not get this game if you do not intend to allow other players in your game, because you will miss 50% of what it is about. It is *not* an action RPG, although it plays like one, it is a "Single player MMORPG". When you die you can haunt other players, force them to go in traps or ask them to help you. Without that component it is a 3/5, but the online mode makes it into a 6/5 stars. |

Pros: Graphics very nice, story is great, RPG style gaming very enjoyable
Cons: Combat style is very old fashioned and does not work properly
Just the combat alone ruined the game for me, it should have been fun to play but instead it was more frustrating and flawed. |
