Gameplay is fast and furious. Story mode kept me entertained, but I didn't like how you had to lose every fight at least once to get 100% for a certain story path. No trophies for getting 100% in story mode though.
Online was disappointing, since noone had ping above "barely-playable". Tried a couple of games, on weekend and weekday evenings, didn't enjoy the lag. Some trophies are easy to get via offline Vs mode.
Overall, a good rental, but might not appeal to everyone. |

I thought I knew 2d fighters , clearly I was wrong. This is the best 2d fighter I have ever played. I will always hold a special place in my heart for SF2 and Marvel v capcom ect but this beats every 2d fighter (and 3d fighter) I have ever played. |

After spending a weekend with Blazblue, it quickly became obvious that this title is aimed a very niche audience. If you enjoy over-the-top 2D fighters with a very Japanese aesthetic, Blazblue is the game you've been waiting for. Otherwise, I wouldn't really bother with it. |
