I must say that I was skeptical about how this game would turn out, considering other Simpsons games I had played (Simpsons: Road Rage any one?).
This is really a good platformer that doesn't take itself seriously, the missions are varied, lots of great little quips from characters around town as you go.
Only major problem would be with the camera, which will cause you to die on occasion.
The Simpsons Game is a definite buy for all of the Simpsons fans out there. The game has pretty good graphics and is fun. It's obviously more fun or fun-ny if you watch the Simpsons regulary so you would get some of the jokes. The game even includes some footage(animation, like it was a TV episode only in 3D. All in all I would definitly say to buy or rent it from here if you're a fan of the Simpsons!
The cutscenes in this one are absolutely top-notch, as good as any Simpsons episode. Definitely the funniest game I've played in many years, had a lot of LOL moments playing this one.
However the gameplay is a bit of a letdown, lots of searching for hidden items, and the camera (while better than most movie to game translations) could be much better and will cause you to die fairly often. Frustrating time challenges.
All in all I'd give it a 7ish out of 10.
You'd definitely have to be a fan of the show to enjoy the game. A lot of the lines, and clips are really grade A simpsons tv show quality.
Although the first level is great, the ones after seem to have very obscure gameplay mechanics - most of which aren't very fun. I got about half way through the game before I just didn't want to play anymore.
Nice animations and funny storyline. I had fun playing with all the different characters. However, the game seems to get old quickly. Definitely not a game I would play more than once.
This game is fun for the first few levels but quickly becomes repetitious. The game play remains mostly the same throughout each level.
I liked the humor and graphics but it just got boring after a while.

The simpsons game is a lot of fun with a lot of comedic humour spread throughout. How it makes fun of other video games is pure genius.
However the game quickly looses its charm and becomes slightly boring. The time trial achievements are ridiculously hard making the full 1000/1000 achievements difficult. However one can easily pick up 800 gs from this game.
I really enjoyed my play through of the Simpsons Game. There are a few spots with clunky gameplay, and the camera is a little spotty. EA did a great job with this license. This game is parody of games and gaming in general, and I had many laugh out loud moments.
