Marking the next-gen console debut of Ubisoft's critically acclaimed series, Prince of Persia - The Forgotten Sands is the next chapter in the fan-favorite Sands of Time universe. Visiting his brother's kingdom following his adventure in Azad, the Prince finds the royal palace under siege from a mighty army bent on its destruction. His brother Malik decides to use the ancient power of the Sand in a desperate gamble to save the kingdom from total annihilation. To save the kingdom, the Prince must embark on an epic adventure in which he will learn to bear the mantle of true leadership, and that great power often comes with a great cost.
Classic Gameplay Reinvented: From huge-scale multi-enemy combat to dizzying feats of acrobatic prowess in gigantic environments enhanced by the Prince's ability to control nature and time, The Forgotten Sands will push the Prince's prodigious abilities to a not-yet-seen level.
A Blockbuster Experience: With all-out war at the gates of the kingdom, the Prince's abilities will be challenged like never before through the course of epic wow moments, be it by scaling a castle tower collapsing under bombardment or combating foes hundreds of feet tall.
Mastery Over Nature: Wielding powers of nature and time, the Prince will have unparalleled mastery over his environment and his enemies. The Prince will discover that harnessing the forces of nature itself will prove to be a devastating companion to his ability to rewind time.
Better Than Ever: Powered by the Anvil Engine used for Assassin's Creed 2, The Forgotten Sands promises to bring a Prince of Persia experience like never before seen. Battle hordes of enemies at once, explore life-like settings, and experience a more powerful Prince.
One gets the impression that Forgotten Sands is heaps more enjoyable if you've played PoP: SoT before. That being said, everything that makes Prince of Persia a great franchise is here and refined. From exciting platforming, thrilling parkour acrobatics and (mostly) engaging combat, I can easily say that I enjoyed this title kore than the 2008 reboot. Check it out if you're a fan of the series.
Inferior in just about every way to the 2008 reboot “Prince of Persia”. This one was made to cash in on the movie hype. I have played every recent prince of persia games and this is the one that will stop that trend until I see something new. If you have never played a Prince game before, this might be good to rent, even then, pretty bad...
POP FS was a fun game. Combat wasn't very involved like GOW 3 but the platforming was great! The story serves its purpose but isn't the reason to play. Graphics look somewhat dated but not bad. The only real issue I had was that some parts of the game the controls weren't as responsive as the rest. If you enjoyed POP ST you should rent this!
a rented this one on a whim, not expecting anything great, and what a surprise it turned out to be when i began playing and totally got sucked in. the controls and platforming, the hand-eye coordination and quick thinking make this game a fantastic ride. i havent been a fan of PoP in the past, but after playing this hidden gem, i definitely will be a big fan from here on out.
The whole time I was playing this game I was thinking about Assassin's Creed 2. I was thinking how both were made by Ubi and both had the same game mechanics but how it seemed they put their AC2-rejected staff on this one. And keep in mind, I wasn't fond of AC2...
I found this game to be amazingly fun and was a nice refresh to the Prince of Persia (POP) series. I've played every POP game since The Sands of Time and the only sad thing about this game would be the length of it. Even going for all of the collectables in the game throughout the story, it only took me about 6 hours to complete it. It's an amazing game and you should really check it out, what better way to try it out than Game Access!
