Very good story mode, good mini games while playing the ladder matches which is fun, lots of things to unlock, also great multiplayer too!

It's a great fighter, you can play with friends online or with two controllers. You can even play alone and the story line was interesting, even for a fighting game! Rent or buy you won't be disappointed...the only downside is the pay pass for online but you get a full 48 hr trial to fight other online.
  Best of it's time 10/10

I have learned that I HATE fighter games, that being said I will say of all fighter games this has to be the best I have ever played, the story mode is the best I have seen in a fighter, the controls are between easy and hard which is nice compared to some older MC's that were crazy hard. I will say that shao khan has to be the cheapest fighter I have seen in a game.. you will see what I mean, I almost sent the game back right then after a couple hours. Worth a buy for sure if you like fighters!
  Amazing experience! 9/10

This is what fighting games should aspire to be, namely, the variety and polish applied to this title is simply above and beyond most fighting games today. Easily the best MK title ever made, the fighting is approachable and satisfying. Highly recommended.
Wow, couldn't have asked for more! 10/10

As a long time gamer and having loved Mortal Kombat in the arcades way back in the early '90s I was cautiously optimistic about this iteration of MK. I can say after this disappointments in the the last decade or so my faith in Ed Boon and his team has been restored. The game is fast paced, brutal, over the top, has tons of modes and unlockables, humour, by far the best story mode of a fighter I've ever seen and each character really has their own uniqueness now. Worth renting and/or buying!
