A supernatural horror action game with a story devised by the master mythmaker, novelist and filmmaker Clive Barker. Mingling the darkest elements of Barker's horror fiction and films, Jericho deals with the mysterious reappearance of a lost city in a remote desert. When a form of evil that goes right back to the dawn of days resurfaces from there, a Special Forces squad, trained in both conventional warfare and the arcane arts, is sent in. Their mission: hunt down and destroy the evil that lurks at the heart of the city before it destroys humanity.
Jericho is fun at first but gets extremely tiring very quickly. I do not believe there are any really outstanding qualities about this game but lots of issues like mindless enemies (the kind that just run at you), useless AI (buddy's don't help you out and half the time your reviving them), not scary at all (for a horror game it sucks), uninteresting story, and useless other characters (there are only a couple of characters that are worth playing). Everything else about Jericho is average.
Given all the bad reviews of this one I had low expectations, but this game is surprisingly quite strong. Visceral graphics, really creepy and completely over the top gore. Not particularly suspenseful, but an overall very solid FPS. Great rental as there's almost no replay value
Clive Barker's Jericho was graphically really surprising, a lot of gore and stunning images. The story is also very creepy, captivating and original. But, after 2 hours I must say I got tired because the game is quiet repetitive. After shooting at monsters appearing from nowhere again and again and again, I realized that my allies weren't as helpful as they were supposed to be and reviving them each time they die is not really interesting.
