I bought this game because it became highly recommended, it was a slow first few minutes then it sucked me in and there was never a lull! Great story nice and short. Different way about killing people than normal fps! Worth a rent at least.
Didn't play this online (requires code) but it's main feature is the campaign. It's pretty short (6-7 hours) but it is FUN. It's never hard enough to be a pain, but it isn't a cakewalk either. The epicness is over the top, and the characters are hilarious! There is also a great kinetic feel to the combat unlike the Call of Duty campaign. You feel every hit and every kill has a cool point system attributed to it. Play this one!
Bulletstorm is a solid shooter with enough innovative game mechanics to elevate it above your standard, ho-hum FPS experience. It takes awhile for the game-play to get interesting. Once you get the leash, which allows you to perform creative kills, the game picks up steam. Several big action set pieces combined with some truly beautiful visuals makes the majority of game a really fun experience. The last 2 chapters of the game drag and sometimes the controls frustrate but overall a good time.
The singleplayer in this game is fantastic, it's really fun, has hilarious dialogue and is genuinely a cool sci-fi story. There's decent replayability in trying to get the highest "Echoes" score.
On top of that the online co-operative mode is "horde mode" style with waves of enemies and you have to get a high enough score to move on, which adds a lot of intense fun and strategy as you whip and kick enemies around working together with your team.
For sure worth at least a rent.

Bulletstorm really disappointed me. The game prides itself on fun ways to kill people but there really isn't that many ways to kill people and you will repeat them so many times. And while there are many weapons, you only need the sniper and shotgun. Sniper you control the bullet and shotgun is a one hit KO. While the game is still fun in parts. It does drag on in the middle. Be prepared for that.
It has a gears of war feel and this is the only good thing about it with good story and voices , The diferent ways to kill is fun but gets repetative. The on line part SUCKS "BOARING" . This game won't be worth $30.00 in a month I would think about buying it used for $20.00 . This game was to hyped up and over rated !!!
