Bayonetta is a stylish and cinematic action game, directed by Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya. A member of an ancient witch clan and possessing powers beyond the comprehension of mere mortals, Bayonetta faces-off against countless angelic enemies, many reaching epic proportions, in a game of 100% pure, unadulterated all-out action. Outlandish finishing moves are performed with balletic grace as Bayonetta flows from one fight to another. With magnificent over-the-top action taking place in stages that are a veritable theme park of exciting attractions, Bayonetta pushes the limits of the action genre, bringing to life its fast-paced, dynamic climax combat.
If you need to play an action game, this is it. It is one of the best action game on the xbox 360. If you are a beginner, you can play this game on easy mode. If you are a ninja gaiden/devil may cry veteran, you will get a challenge from playing this game on hard mode.
It has the best combat system out there. Each weapon has a different combat style and you can pick up weapons and use them.
Bayonetta is made by the same person who created Devil May Cry. While the story for the game isn't the strong point this game excels in combat. It is a very over the top Japanese type game where you play as a Dark Witch Bayonetta. You can buy/find items to unlock different weapons during the game and once you beat the game unlock costumes. There is hundreds of different moves you can pull off. The best part of the game is the bosses. Definitely Rent this game.
Out of this world scenarios. Funny and creative.
Fast-paced action that never lets up. A great action game. One of the better action games in a long time.
The graphics and gameplay of this game are excellent. It consists of mostly boss/mini boss fights, very few times where you will just be hacking down legions of enemies. However the game fails hard when it comes to the story, I wanted to love it but it was just boring and was hard to make sense of.
I know a lot of Japanese games tend to be on the cheesy side...and a lot are laughably bad (and extremely entertaining), but this one just went a little too far in the "self aware cheesiness", and was pretty hard to watch. It didnt help that there were HOURS of these cut-scenes/slide shows...keeping me from the game. Now, the gameplay itself was quite fun, combos/counters were awesome to pull off... definitely worth a rental. Feels a lot like DMC, but with extra moves/abilities to use.
There is no Bayonetta is shallow, repetitive, relatively short, the story makes no sense, its filled with sexual references and imagery -- but DAMN, it is a lot of fun. The best part are the crazy boss fights, and you haven't seen boss fights till you play this game. The game was made with care and lot of polish on it that it is hard not to enjoy the game. I played all the DMC games and highly recommend as a rental. 8/10
From the same guy who did Devil May Cry. Finished it in about 10 hours, great action, boss battles are great but repeat themselves later in the game. Cool main character, but the story makes no sense until the last hour, and the cutscenes are long which is exausting when you don't know what is going on. Buying items and weapons is a pain because you have to go through 2 long loading screens. Other than that, awesome game. score 8.5/10
Well what can I say, this is really a great game. The fighting system is what makes it great. It's really deep yet simple for anyone. The game has amazing graphics and it runs buttery smooth. There's many cool enemies in this game and the boss fights are fun. The game has multiple checkpoints so you will not get frustrated like other games in the same genre. The only bad thing is the story and chracters aren't really good. The music is really cheezy. Overall great game 9/10 from me.
If a fast pace action packed combofull, bossmob type of game is your piece of cake then Bayonetta will fill that need in you, if you dont like repetition then bayonetta is not for you. Many fights are repeats of earlier weaker mobs/bossmobs , wich made me go more than once , "not that mob again!" , still worth the playthrough oh and stick around for the ending credits. 8.5/10
I had so much fun with Bayonetta. It has Devil May Cry style action, but it takes away all the puzzle & key stuff that bored me about that series. This game is really over the top and wacky, and I love it for it. Worth a rental for sure.
I found this game on normal would be like and other game on normal. On regular difficulty it seems to be extremely difficult. Although the difficulty i made it through and found it very fun
Didn't really play much of it, since the only redeeming factor in this Devil May Cry wannabe game was the unique battle system. Although that only kept my attention just long enough for me to get annoyed at the music and turn off the console. End of story.
