Rubi is a problem fixer. She fixes problems. She's good at it. But when she agrees to fix a wealthy man's problem by finding and bringing back his wayward son, she thinks it's all going to be cut and dry. She thought wrong. The job wasn't so simple. And the man who hired her isn't who he appears to be. Now Rubi's on the run, needing to find the man who left her for dead, leaving a massive body count in her wake. Double-crosses. Enemies. Allies. Guns. Swords. Drugs. Old books. In an adventure that spans three continents, two warring factions, and one very agitated problem fixer, WET keeps the adrenaline pumping from start to finish. Features: With her trusty twin custom made Colt Pythons, Rubi gracefully engages in amazing, cinematic high-body count gunplay against diverse and challenging enemies. Along with her guns, Rubi has an arsenal of death-defying acrobatic moves. Her incredible agility allows her to climb on ledges, slide under obstacles, swing on poles and run along walls. Rubi's sword is an instrument for deadly close-quarter proximity attacks. Rubi will unleash a flurry of multi-staged stylized attack sequences.
This game is visually stunning, it looks great. THe voice acting isn't horrible, and the characters are fun (if implausible). Sadly, the gameplay gets very mundane about halfway through. Its the same shootouts over and over again.
Story is alright, action is pretty good. The only real problem come when the action is over and you are moving from one area to another and are met by a loading screen lasting 3 minutes or more, and then you get a couple more throughout the level.
Repetitive gameplay, limited manouvers, and waaaaaayyy too short. The games climax is a let down, and not really any replay value. Fun for a day, (I completed expert in 5 hours) but thats it. Good idea, but wasted in this game.
They were going for a Sin City vibe or something, and to a large extent they succeeded. Soundtrack is good and once in a while you'll accomplish a great cinematic kill sequence Tarantino would be proud of. Unfortunately your nice movie-like experience is ruined by bad level design and a control scheme that seems to break well-accepted control mechanics from other games. Some levels are the one-mistake-and-you're-dead kind and are seriously frustrating.
Pretty solid action title, mix a lot of hong kong action flick, with parts of tarintino, and some awesome music and you got this over the top game. A lot of the game requires you to trigger your slo-mo maneuvers and it is over quickly.
I was about to buy this game b/c the sexy girl on the cover... Thanks to god I rent it first, also thanks to Game Access!!! A 6.8 is given for this game on IGN, it doesn't even worse renting ...
