Follow-up game to 2007's critically acclaimed Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, the PlayStation 3 exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is a continuation of the adventures of Nathan Drake, a fortune-hunter with a shady reputation and an even shadier past. Chock full of all the action, adventure, cinematic story elements and beautiful graphics that set the first game apart, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves adds deep online multiplayer options, including co-op and competitive campaigns, and a whole new supporting cast of characters, making it yet another must-have title for the PlayStation 3 platform.
I'm a huge fan of the first despite the flaws. This one is simply bigger, better and more fun than the first game. The single player is just plain awesome.
Great graphics, beautiful story telling and great voice acting. Voice actors need a award ceremony.
The multiplayer is decent. I prefer this game as a single player. 9/10
The single player campaign offers 12-15 hours of play, plus online game modes. The storyline is very immersive; and in the end, gratifying. The graphics are very nice, stylistically. The transitions from game to cutscenes are, also, very fluid. The music and voice overs are of a cinematic quality. The sound effects have been polished. The controls work well but there are minor camera issues. The AI is standard. This game was very fun to play.
Uncharted 2 is a game where you don't even need to play the first one. Although it will help you appreciate returning characters better. The game is filled with much platforming and gun fights that come in bursts. The cinematics are beatiful and I would highly recommend this as a rental. The online is pretty decent aswell.
This is a great game! All the characters return in this 2nd go around in nathan drakes adventure. There's even a few new faces added to the mix. You still get pretty all the same weapons and gameplay only a few subtle changes. Multiplay is ok but not for me. A must rent/buy.
I loved this game. The voice acting, the graphics, the action, it's all so great. The only downside is that I found it dragged a bit once you got 3/4 of the way done. This game is great as a rental though, once you beat it there's not a lot of reasons to go back to it. Definitely check this game out.
I hated the 1st.. Linear gameplay.. boring and repetitive firefights, cheesy story. If I wanted to play a good 3rd person shooter I'd recommend getting an Xbox and Gears of War.
I tried Uncharted 2 thinking that they may have improved it from the first, as it had much better reviews.
I was wrong. If you enjoy big budget effects, graphics and acting this game is for you. If you like gameplay, look elsewhere.
I played this immediately after playing Heavy Rain. Specific comparisions between the two are hard but I categorize them the same: interactive fiction. Uncharted 2 came out on top for me. I enjoyed this game more than the Indianna Jones movies! Several times I found myself stopping mid-action to marvel at the scenery around me. 11 hours of playtime flew by like nothing.
Uncharted 2 recieved some heafty critical praise, bagging countless game of the year awards for 2009, which can only lead to...disappointment. The stop and pop gun action feels stale compared to Gears of War and the animation in Assassin's Creed 2 is smoother. The puzzles are tough and there a few spots were I died 10+ times, not fun. That said, this is still a great game. The Hero, Drake, is very funny and game boasts some incredible Hollywood level leaps across huge gaps, always a plus!
