With an incredibly steep learning curve for the controls, a story that focuses on only two characters versus the entire roster, and visuals that leave much to be desired, Twisted Metal's violent return to consoles is sadly a disappointing one. Still, the game has its moments, and old school vehicle combat vets will get their kicks, especially online.
The verdict: Queue it if you remember the days of Vigilante 8 and Twisted Metal 2
Twisted Metal brings back the action-packed gameplay that we all enjoyed on both the PS1 and PS2. While the single-player story mode is rather short, the online competitive mode is both rewarding and exciting. The large-scale and beautifully designed maps make for strategic encounters against your opponents from all angles and the variety of vehicles and weapons also offer countless hours of replayability.
This is a ultra violent, fast, annoying, hard racing game. Music is cool, visual is good. The game is very hard to complete and you need a lot of luck. The game is well done but not my type.
I am so mad that I pre-ordered this and had to wait on delay after delay for the release, only to get it home and be disappointed. This game flat sucks. Nothing good to say at all. The controls are rubbish, the story is rubbish, the graphics are rubbish. Very few games, do I never bother completing out sheer disappointment. This is one of those games.
