Mafia II is a very inferior GTA clone. The time period it is set in (1940s) is the only attractive aspect to this game. The game feels very linear, the missions are not fun, the controls are awkward.
At best, I would only recommend a rent out or curiosity. I couldn't be bothered to go past the first 4 chapters or so.
Music was fantastic for setting the period! Lacked the Sand-Box missions I loved in GTA... it was too story driven. Excessive amounts of driving that only seems to increase the possibility of police arresting you. The AI is just plain stupid at times, particularly allies.
Without spoiling too much, I found the story to be very anti-climactic.
Worth the rent for some cheap thrills if you're bored, or just want to see some nice classy 1950's Playboy centerfolds.
Fisrt thing i have to say is,WAY too much driving, and its cumbersome and slow to boot. Both driving and the controls. Its an easy game even on hard.I found the best part of the whole thing to be getting the plat, even though the wanted posters were frustrating.I highly recommend renting god father 2 before considering this one,it just seems rushed. Not alot of guns or anything, only like 35 cars 20 characters, missions we always driving with a bit of fighting. No bosses.Total time to plat 20 hours
This game is an abomination, it has the worst controls and the game often does not respond to commands.
Couldn't get past the first level because I went into cover and the game would not let me get out.
Do not buy this game, rent maybe but do NOT buy it.
gta knock off but i beilve it is still better then saints row, lots of driving around, no real diffucult but if your into the games where you just wanna rob gun stores an shoot people then its pretty fun, for the first 12 hours, then you will probaly reailze something else is out and forget about it!
