A sci-fi/action RPG from acclaimed developer Gearbox, Borderlands combines the best in first-person action gaming with elements of a traditional role-playing game (RPG). The excitement of this hybridization is further magnified by the game's groundbreaking content generation system which allows for a near-endless variety in missions, environments, enemies, weapons, item drops and character customization, making the game's single player, multiplayer and online campaigns not to be missed.
This game offers 25+ hours of single player gameplay, plus online and co-op modes; all supported by trophies. The story is good but not very immersive. The graphics are stylistically different but work well. The music is the same song over and over again but the voice over's and sound effects are good. The controls work well but are generic to most FPS' and surprisingly there aren't many camera issues. This game was fun for about 15 hours but then became repetitive work.
A great action-oriented shooter with tonnes of weapons!
Getting to the level 50 cap is a little tedious, as you get to replay the story a second time. The enemies and weapons are scaled to your level, so it is more challenging.
If you liked Fallout 3, you'll love this.
The stylish graphics were a nice view and kept things refreshing. The co-op mode was really awesome but the microphone seemed to glitch up a lot for some reason. Really good game at its core but it starts to get repetitive after a while with a storyline that didn't really inspire me to get attached to any character whatsoever.
The best way to describe this game would be a gritty and dirty mix between Fallout 3 and Hellgate:London (or Diablo, if you prefer). It's quick, very satisfying on many levels and has a painless cooperative mode. Too bad the story is kinda weak!
There is no better way to describe it. Plenty of missions and side missions. Hundreds of guns with dozens of atribute combinations. Very relentless enemies.
The most fun I have had in a while.
This game is repetative... this game is repetative... this game is repetative... It seemed even if I died the same guy was in the same spot every freaking time, and the whole scene was exactly the same. Better AI would be appreciated. Atleast in Fallout if the dumb super mutants smashed my face in he was going to go find another place to hide.
The game is great, kind of a dumb down fallout but in a good way. Nice graphics and easy gameplay make it a fun ride. Play it on the 360 version do there's too much bug, if you want to play with your friends, in the PS3 version. You've been warn!
