Metro 2033 is one of those games you look down to because of dated GFX, but if you're not looking for "free-roam" shooter... this game packs with all things needed for an intense RPG shooter. One of the greatest atmospheric FPS in years, think those scary vaults in Fallout3 but multiply fear factors by 2 or 3 and you get Metro... and the fact that there's no hi-tech gear (VAT) and the use of hand-held charger for lights will make you a more careful person |

Metro has gotten a lot of praise for its interest atmosphere and story but that is pretty much all it has.And even that has been done better by most other games. Graphics look downright dated and the game plays and feels like a shooter that is 3+ years old. Most of the game play mechanics are very straight forward and the game itself is very linear. Worth trying out but don't have any expectations or else you will be disappointed. |

Metro 2033 has a great atmosphere, draws you into the somewhat lackluster story and delivers some scares. The shooting is typical, the forced stealth parts dont work and the enemy AI is inconsistent but usually dimwitted. The survival elements (ex: filters for your mask to protect from radiation) are more annoying than an interesting mechanic to manage. Worth a rent for FPS fans. |

Metro 2030 is a fantastic interactive experience, it has amazing moments that mesh beautifly crafted works together to create a adventure that will leave you in awe. The story is well crafted and pushes you to carry forth and witness the conclusion of Arytom's adventure. But Metro 2033 is not without its flaws. You would expect the game to be 'on the edge of your seat'scary but you will hardly ever find yourself in suspense. All in all this is minor set back. You will almost certainly enjoy it. |

this is the type of game I would buy as its a large area with lots to do. People who liked fallout should be into this I would think |

I absolutely loved the atmosphere while roaming around in the tunnels. I must admit I haven't felt that kind of electronic fear since the old school Resident Evil games. However what did turn me off was the shooting mechanics. After playing Fallout 3 we should now expect similar mechanics. 2-3 hours into the game I just couldn't get passed this and sealed the game for return. |
