Treyarch's (the B team) first game on the Modern Warfare engine. Switches between the European fight to the Pacific battle (US v.s. Japan). Good campaign (8 hours long), the European war is much better than the Japanese one, also, the game is next to impossible on the hardest difficulty which is a shame. The online is a copy of the Modern warfare one, not a bad thing. The dogs perk is overpowered. 8/10 |

I am still wondering why they would go back to the world war 2 settings, but the way this goes into world war 2, it is really good. The first half of the campaign is pretty boring, but the second half is kinda fun. There is a mode you can unlock after beating the campaign where you go around killing zombies for as long as you can. It is fun, but can get repetitive. The multiplayer is okay, the maps are okay, but what really ruins it is the campers. You can see some solid gameplay in here though. |

Call of Duty 5, is a great game in the way that games go, but a overall disappointment following Modern Warfare. Borrowing much from the previous engine, if not to much, it has the exact same feel but with a different weaponry and vehicles. These changes are good but do not make as great of a multilayer as was seen with its predecessor. Overall campaign is great for a rent, much longer and unique. Overall its pretty good. |

There's little in the main campaign to keep you compelled to finish it and the Nazi-Zombie mode, while fun, is rather derivative and doesn't feature the kind of experience Left 4 Dead or any other zombie related game does. The plain multiplayer is a step backwards from Modern Warfare and generally less enjoyable. Overall World at War just makes the wait for Modern Warfare 2 more anxious. |

Maybe I haven't played enough games over the years, but playing this game as different protagonists seems like a pretty neat idea. Again, maybe they did that in past CoD titles, but i still enjoyed jumping around from different places and experiencing the different styles of play this game had to offer. Didn't play online much. Story was good enough on it's own. |

this has to be the 2ed worst COD game i have ever played.(1.5 stars) the guns are bad, the graphics are bad, and the gameplay...nightmarish!
don't buy or rent. the only thing that's fun on this game is the Nazi zombies, that's where the 1.5 stars came from. |

When I was a kid, I could play video games for hours non-stop and overcome any odds no matter what. These days though, I have little patience for BS. So, when I died in the TUTORIAL LEVEL, I knew I was in for a lot of dying and a lot of cussing. Screw this game and screw Activision for wasting my time! |
