Don't expect to breeze through this like FF13 or anything like that... this is a very traditional JRPG. You'll need a lot of time, a good guide, and a strong sense of how JRPGs flow. If you can manage that, you'll be golden though. This game was very rewarding, with engaging characters and plotlines.

Remember the days of Final Fantasy 3, Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire? Well I do and although the battle system in Star Ocean the Last Hope is much improved and more immersive this game takes me back. A must rent for fans of the genre. Anyone interested in obtaining trophies this platinum will be held by few and would look great on a trophy card. |
